Arrival into FRA is always ‘a charm’…

We went to the F check-in desks, where there was a tremendous line-up… At least we successfully retrieved the boarding pass for my mom on the FRA-GDN leg! The ladies in KIX did a great job! Thumbs up to you! Thumbs down to Aeroplan…

We then went through ‘priority’ security (right next to the F check-in counters, I had never seen it before). Not too fast but not that bad either. Then a long walk down concourse A to get to the lounge.

You pass by the Senator/Business lounge on the way there, and I was simply shocked by the line-up to get in. Take a look at this:

This was the first occasion that I was thinking to myself why do people act like sheep?

Up to the F lounge

Entrance

A lady met us a reception and asked for our boarding passes. I explained to her that we had arrived in F from KIX, and she said no problem, I will check that (the BPs had been lost somewhere along the way), and she went to her computer and checked, and wished us a pleasant stay.

Entrance

We took two seats that looked nice (picture from our seats)

The bar

That looks well-stocked to me!

A multi-time-zone clock

After having had something to drink (me a bitter lemon of course), we went to take showers. We were each given shower rooms, and it was very nice.

They also have a bath room, with a nice big tub, which I saw but didn’t get a picture of.

By this time, my clock was probably going backwards. Or something like that.

But I decided that I have to force myself to eat something, so I went to see the buffet:

That’s cheese, by the way

Wasn’t hungry so didn’t take anything, but instead sat down and took a look at the lounge menu:

For some reason, the LH logo is red on these scans, but I can assure you that it wasn’t that way on paper. I decided to order a “Selection of sorbets”, which was very, very good.

That’s the entrance

I’m sure this was my 50th bitter lemon

Cigar room. There was a guy obsessively smoking cigars in there. Oh and talking on his phone at the same time.

FIDs

Large selection of newspapers

The restaurant room

A very nice lounge, but soon enough, it was time to leave, as we still had to leave security and clear it again for the LOT flight.
