After leaving the lounge, I realized why there was such a long line-up at the entrance to the lounge earlier. The FTL (Business Lounge) was being renovated, and all pax had to go somewhere else… and this somewhere else was the…

Lufthansa Business Class (FTL) Sports Corner, Frankfurt, A gates, Schengen:

And here I was, asking myself once again why do people act like sheep? So stupid – standing around aimlessly. For what? A free beer? I would leave that crowded place (or I wouldn’t even enter!). As you can see, there was only a half-wall dividing the main terminal and the lounge. I am almost 100% certain, however, that the lounge was temporary.

Then we took the train to the C gate – gate C01. This gate is horrible. The only benefit, it seems, is that there is security serving only this one gate, meaning that it ends up being very quick.

Our aircraft

The very plentiful amenities of the gate

That’s it!

Luckily, boarding was already in progress when we arrive at the security checkpoint, so we didn’t have to sit around at all.

Ah – there is one more benefit to this gate. I am quite certain that only LO uses it, and it has a jetbridge! Wow!

The seats

We were greeted by the FA, who was very nice, and she offered to stow our bags in the closet! Plus one there!

The meal service. A cold meal, although reasonable.

I couldn’t stop laughing about this. Read the above very carefully…

Spotless

A short, enjoyable flight, and service OK, although nothing to rave about.
